What are the health risks?
Consumption of products contaminated with Salmonella bacteria can cause food poisoning. Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, fever and headaches that usually appear between 6 and 72 hours after ingestion. Vulnerable people such as children, pregnant women and the elderly may experience more severe symptoms. In case of consumption, it is advisable to consult a doctor if signs appear.
In the absence of symptoms within 7 days after consuming the products concerned, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor. If the product must be cooked before consumption: cooking the products thoroughly (hard-boiled eggs, pastries, poultry meat, etc.) at +65°C destroys these bacteria and prevents the consequences of such contamination.
How to get a refund?
Consumers who have purchased these raw sausages are asked to return them to the store for a refund. Distributors will provide information on the affected points of sale.
