
Born into a family of devout Catholic farmers in the depths of Illinois, Melissa McCarthy soon discovered a comic talent. The actress soress moved to New York where she performed in Stand-Up performances, an exercise in which she excelled. She shared the poster with Jason Bateman.

The actress continued her ascent by playing in successful comedies such as Very Bad Trip 3, The Stoous, St. John's. Vincent with Bill Murray or the delusional Spy directed by Paul Feig; the opportunity for Melissa to give the replica to action star Jason Statham. In 2016, the actress reunited with Feig to shoot SOS Ghosts, reboot to the feminine of the famous successful diptych of the 1980s. She is then set to reprise her role as Sookie St. James in the sequel to Gilmore Girls.
